We Want to Make Mifflin County Worthy of
Our Young People by:
1.) Preventing and reducing underage substance use
2.) Educating parents and the community about the dangers of underage substance use
3.) Helping our youth feel safe in and connected to their community
So How are We Doing That?
•
We’re using this Social Norms campaign to tell everyone that MOST KIDS DON’T use alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs.
• We’re offering resources to parents by holding parent workshops, hosting a parent support group, and bringing the Safe Homes program to Mifflin County of Mifflin.
• We're holding regular community forums to help educate our
community about the dangers, laws, and consequences of underage substance use.
• We’re helping the PULSE clubs to be able to continue leadership and community activities.
• We helped bring the School Resource Officer to Mifflin County.
• We’re working to connect and grow the recreation activities in Mifflin County so you know what activities are available and where to go
• We’re spreading the word about what’s being done to keep our youth and families safe.
We want to do everything we can to make Mifflin County safe, caring, and drug-free for our youth, so we need your help! Everyone has a part to play, and we want to have you on board!
